Mrs. Friedman

My sister got married this weekend! The photo above shows our father walking her into the church. Since I was busy dancing, Henrik tooks some photos. Below the wedding crowns and the beautiful yellow fields of Skåne.
Mr & Mrs Friedman!
May your love be everlasting!
Oh, Jayson!

Well, if I was living in Chicago Jayson Home would have me visiting very often. I simply love this shop! All items above are from JH and I’d fix them up with the beautiful vintage Ehtiopian crosses from Serena & Lily along with some show cases from Artilleriet.
Got lucky

Remember this? Well, last week we stumbled upon on, probably the best deal so far! H. got his way with a Howard model sofa and 2 huge lounge chairs and I partly got my wish them being upholstered and in natural linen. The set is from Artwood and we love it! H. has promised not to whine about his neck and I’ve promised not to complain about the model. But I have to say that I’m not dissapointed at all. Our new furniture goes great with the rug we bought from Rug Vista a while ago (the enormous Persian carpet will be out from time to time but for the moment we like this one). I wish we could complete with the lovely chandelier from Serena & Lily but we got a very unnecessary parking ticket today so I think we’ll have to wait a while…
Wish you all a lovely weekend!

Puzzled over a puzzle
Posted on | april 16, 2012 | No Comments
Last week I made some nice purchases at a flea market, this old puzzle was one. I didn’t know what the motive was so I started laying it as soon as I got the chance. Believe me, it took me 4 hours to put the pieces together! I thought it would take me half an hour at the most. The strange thing was, that I said to H when I began laying it, that I really hoped it wasn’t a dog on the pic… Sorry, all you dog lovers – I’m afraid of dogs so I prefer cats! To my surprise, there was a dog and two kittens revealed in the end.
I love the packaging! And I can’t help wondering who Wilhelm Lamm was but it seems he took the picture below in 1920.

Remeber this? Well, I simply couldn’t resist some nice roses the other day. Arranged them in my DIY flower bed and voilá!
Hope your Saturday is as lovely as mine!
Olle Eksell – Johan Andersson

Johan Andersson a Stockholm based graphic designer and founder of Cake Industry, has released an unique series of products with designs of his friend and mentor – the design icon Olle Eksell. At the same time the site olleeksell.se was launched where the products can be purchased online. Myself I find the tote bag very nice.

Just in time for the weekend
Posted on | april 13, 2012 | No Comments
I’ve made some really nice flea market purchases lately. Top pic is one. Love the shape and it inspires me when creating patterns. Pic 2, lovely vintage cake doilies from an auction I won recently (it was a steal). Yep, Easter decor is down but I still love to se these white feathers. Think I will find a nice spot for them… Bought a bunch of pencils the other day – just for fun and to make at least one good photo. Oh, and I’ve been out in the woods collecting all kinds of branches! Made a flower bed and will probably make some more. Tomorrow I’m buying some flwers to decorate it with, just in time for the weekend…
All photos by me.

I still haven’t been smitten by the Washi tape bug but it seems like I’m going down… Like the masking tape above and adore the tape dispenser – all from Cute Tape!
