New Blog!
Posted on | February 16, 2010 | 8 Comments
I apologize with all my heart for the inconvenience my blog’s sickness might have caused! I know many of you have linked to my blog and probably were wondering why it’s suddenly was nowhere to be found.
It seems like my previous blog got hacked, not a very pleasant experience I might add, therefore be sure to take backups of your blog/site on a regular basis – I thought I did… However, I managed to save most of my posts but lost a couple of dear ones created in November and December 2010, along with lovely comments. Forgive me if there will be broken links, please try to get the new permalinks. If there is a post missing you know about, please let me know and I’ll try to re-create it.
Well, it might have been time for a change so I’ve changed the WP-theme and given it a “Suzi-twist”. Kind of longed for a new header and som new colors (not all as you can see) along with new and improved features. I also hope that usability is much better now.
There are still features I have to fix and add, but they will have to appear when I’m not busy teaching
My blogroll is not present yet but I’ve gathered all my daily reads over at designblogs.Collected some to be seen under Inspirational Blogs in the right sidebar.
If there’s a vital feature not working as it should, drop me a line or place a comment – thank you!
So, Dear Readers, Friends, Clients, Students, Art- & Design lovers – thank you for your patience och dearly welcome to my new blog!
Always Love

Starting today I will be teaching Upper Secondary school classes again. From time to time I miss all the lovely young students, even the ones who tend to give me a “hard” time
Wish me luck!
Collages by me. Have a marvellous week!

Abstract color palettes by X I A
Posted on | February 16, 2010 | No Comments

It’s been a while since I focused on Fine Art. Large usable parts of my creative brain tend to slide into design and home decorating nowadays
So I sat myself down in front of Flickr and found X I A, a gifted photographer from Serbia and that’s all I know about her (I’ll try to find out some more). Simply had to show some of her work! Enjoy!

Winning streak
Posted on | February 16, 2010 | No Comments
It seems like I’m on a winning streak! Doesn’t happen that often which makes me even more grateful. Won these beautiful coffee glasses from Reijmyre Glasbruk over at Coorda Magazine, a nice web magazine with loads of inspiration for home and design. Thank you, the gift will be much enjoyed in our new home! I’m soon off to pick up my package at the local post office… Hope you all are surrounded by a smiling Saturday and don’t forget to donate and send love to Haiti!

And the awarded are
Posted on | February 16, 2010 | No Comments
I’ve been awarded with a Beautiful Blogger award by Veronica in London, a creative, gifted and very sweet graphic designer and illustrator! So I’m doing the same as V, telling 7 interesting (well…) things about myself and awarding 7 blogs I think deserve an award. I think it’s a nice way to spread blog love. To all I’ve awarded - you are welcome to play along if you wish!
I wish I could award every blog on my link list and many more, there is so much inspiration, beauty, well written thoughts and at times, hard work shared out there…
The BB rules are:
- Thank the person who nominated you for this award.
- Copy the award & place it on your blog.
- Link to the person who nominated you for this award.
- Tell us 7 interesting things about yourself.
- Nominate 7 bloggers.
- Post links to the 7 blogs you nominate
7 things about me:
- I’m blind as a bat without my contact lenses or glasses (I get an “I can see!” experience every time I put them on).
- I tend to get in conflicts with men of power (kind of fun actually).
- I own a Husqvarna and a Pfaff (been sewing since the age of 4 (no child labour)).
- I smoke and drink coffee and swear (a girl’s gotta do what a girl’s gotta do).
- I don’t have any children but I love teaching teenagers (toddlers and dogs make me nervous).
- Love and Art are my main stars.
My nominations:
- Hello Sugar – Åsa’s all about cupcakes blog makes me drool every time I visit and she seems to be a cupcake herself!
- Trendwelt- Bine who runs the blog is a Scandinavian Design junkie and she does it so well, and she’s learning Swedish!
- 112mirabela- Maja is Maja and she illustrates the world around her with a very strong sense of humor and sharpness!
- Dogblog – Johanna is the great photographer who loves animals, takes amazing photos of both dogs and cats and an occasional magazine cover. She’s great!
- Pretty far West – Irish beauty with a sharp pen, great sense of humor and style!
- Hello Tiger - Tiger’s blog is simply the place to visit when lacking inspiration!
- Inspirationer- Martina’s taste and how she presents it is fabulous!

Our books
Posted on | February 16, 2010 | 1 Comment

Our apartment is slowly becoming a home. We are trying to get most of our things in some kind of order and suddenly we feel like we have too much of everything. We cannot grasp that we’ve had room with everything in the old, very very small studio – compact living… Well, that is not the case anymore thank to the Good Gods of New Homes. H. has been worried about his books, he wanted to have a proper book shelve, me, I dearly hate book shelves unless they are in a library. Compromise: a shelve appr. 75 cm from the floor, custom made in oak by Good Mom, some books on the shelve, some below. Still there are 5 or so book cases of mine to unpack. H. is OK with this solution and I’m smiling…

Thank you, desire to inspire!
Posted on | February 16, 2010 | No Comments
Starting up our Internet connection yesterday brought me a very pleasant surprise. At first I thought my stats counter had gone crazy but then I saw were all the sweet visitors came from. The great blog Desire to Inspire had mentioned my little blog in one of their Holiday reading guides for 2010! What an honor! I will follow their generous idea and make some list of my own as soon as I can.
Thank you Jo and Kim and congratulations on your 4th place on Times Online’s list “50 of the world’s best design blogs”!
It seems like it will be a fabulous year…
