A Norwegian Fairy Tail
Posted on | October 19, 2009 | No Comments
Jumina design is a Norwegian design company run by Elisabeth Grönning Rognmo. She designs clothes and accessories in natural materials such as linen, cotton, wool, silk and organic fairly trade cotton. The products are produced by Elisabeth herself and most of the garments are produced in a few copies and seldom identical.
What struck me, when I first saw these beautiful garments, is that they speak of Scandinavian fairy tails involving fairies and trolls and magical surroundings apart from top quality. One can always spot the touch of love in handmade items like these. I also adore the photos that photographer Kim A. Rognmo has taken, they are mesmerizing!
Elisabeth and Kim are spouses and are at the moment involved in building Elizabeth’s new sewing studio and shop, which is being built in a very ecological way – if you understand Norwegian, you can see a TV-clip from the project here.
I wish Elisabeth and Kim the best of luck with everything and hope to stay in contact with them!

Hej, Bine!
Aren’t they? They seem to be a very sweet couple too.
I’ve worked a bit too hard with my arm, need to cut down a bit working on the computer. But then that’s what I do, so I’m feeling a bit “off” at the moment since I don’t listen to the signals in time… Thanks for caring, dear Bine! Hope you are well!

Ah, so adorable… what a beautiful craftsmanship… nice materials, great colors. And the kids seem happy wearing the fairytale garments! Ah, I would wear them! I like that grayish sans sleeve jacket with a pointed hood… or is it a dress?
Thanks for sharing.
I hope your arm starts to realize it has to keep up with you… get well soon!
